● Program Overview
Learn how our High Point Program works
The Pleasure Walking Horse Association of Tennessee High Point Program was created to recognize and reward the dedication, consistency, and sportsmanship of our exhibitors throughout the show season. By encouraging participation across PWHAT events, the program helps strengthen our community while celebrating the accomplishments of horses, riders, trainers, and families who support the flat-shod Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
More than just year-end awards, the High Point Program is designed to promote friendly competition, inspire exhibitors of all ages and experience levels, and encourage continued involvement within PWHAT activities. From youth and amateur riders to seasoned competitors, the program highlights the hard work and passion that keep our organization thriving year after year.

High Point Rules at a Glance
Membership Required
Owners and exhibitors must be active PWHAT members for points to accrue.
Two-Show Minimum
Horses must show at least two PWHAT shows to qualify for High Point awards.
Tie Breaker
If total points are tied, the horse shown at the most PWHAT shows earns the higher award.
Points Follow the Horse
Points stay with the horse as long as each rider is a PWHAT member. Exceptions: Academy, Showmanship, Equitation, Lead Line, and Walk Only.
Ownership Changes
If a horse sells during the season, the award goes to the member who owned the horse when the majority of points were earned.
Double Points for Jamboree
Every year, all classes at The PWHAT Jamboree show will count for double points!
